Stir-Fried Broccoli With Garlic

Ingredients
- 1 broccoli
- 3 large cloves garlic, diced
- 2 slices ginger (optional)
Sauce
- 1/5 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cornflour
- 1/4 tsp soy sauce
- Water (enough to make a light brown sauce)
Directions
- Soak the broccoli in water with 1 tsp salt.
- Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add a little salt and oil, then blanch the broccoli for 3–4 minutes.
- While the broccoli is blanching, prepare the sauce by mixing:
- 1/5 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cornflour
- 1/4 tsp soy sauce
- Enough water to create a light brown sauce.
- Dice the garlic into small pieces.
- Slice the ginger (if using).
- Drain the broccoli thoroughly in a strainer.
- Heat a wok and fry the garlic and ginger until golden brown.
- Add the drained broccoli and toss to coat with the garlic and ginger.
- Pour in the sauce and stir until it thickens and coats the broccoli. Add a little extra water if needed.
